The US elect , 70-year-old, Donald Trump has been named the 2016 ‘Time’ magazine Person of the Year. The announcement on NBC’s Today appears on Wednesday morning.
Nancy Gibbs, the magazine’s the editorial manager, uncovered Trump as the champ on the “Today” NBC’s news indicate Wednesday, Hillary Clinton chose as runner-up and the second runner-up are online hackers.
In a phone interview with Matt Lauer, “It’s a great honor. It means a lot. I have grown up reading Time magazine, it’s a very important magazine. It is a tremendous honor, I am lucky to be on the cover of Time in the past,” Trump said.
“When you say divided states of America, I didn’t divide them. They’re divided now. I mean there’s a lot of division, and we’re going to put it back together and we’re going to have a country that’s very well healed,” he added.
I’ve never seen so much agreement about who had the most influence, I don’t think that we have ever seen one person operating in such an unconventional way have an impact on events of the year quite like this,” Gibbs said.
